# About Taphouse Software

Taphouse Software is indie-run by [Jared Sorge](https://jsorge.net). He's an app developer from the Seattle, Washington area who has been involved in Apple platform development since 2012, and an Apple enthusiast since the early '90s. Jared has worked for companies such as Adobe, Lyft, and Zulily, while also running Taphouse Software as a mix of consulting work and his own apps.

Jared is one of the organizers of the [Seattle Xcoders](https://xcoders.org) meetup group. For more than 20 years, Xcoders has brought together members of the local Apple development community. He has given several talks over the years on topics including Core Data & CloudKit syncing, using Git submodules for dependency management, and his use of Claude Code to help build new Swift-based tools to replace Ruby tools.

Jared is a full-stack Apple platform developer. He loves building fluid and intuitive user interfaces, digging in to architectural problems, creating reusable frameworks, and automating build systems to keep apps running and easy to maintain.
